It's a challenge for the Australian squad to achieve unprecedented feats.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the squad that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with six more T20 titles, and previously enjoyed 1,294 days unbeaten in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, targeted by the peak baggers, are the only things left for a squad that has won it all.

It needed as late as Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase above 300, regaining their record for the biggest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, frankly, a compliment to the bowlers that have worn canary yellow over the last half-century.

It's difficult for their hitters to maintain a record if not provided the possibility.

Certain people claim the reasoning behind the pressure of a final. Others can counter with the challenge that comes when confronting a historic chase and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's definite is this century was much more difficult to predict.

The New Zealand onslaught in 2022 came as she led the batting statistics, but this knock followed six innings in India over the past few weeks in which she had been unable to reach 30.

"For those following me in practice sessions, it's been a disappointing period because it seemed my form was missing completely," stated Healy.

"However when you take the field, your competitive instincts activate and you completely engage with the competition."

Healy's fighting spirit has consistently been her key asset - and a priceless quality in succeeding legendary former captain Meg Lanning.

She was troubled by India's rising star Kranti Gaud in recent ODI series, fallen to the young fast bowler in all three matches, but on this occasion it simply offered Healy's spark.

A single came off Gaud's first delivery and from that point the batsman was in motion.

"A chance to take the field and face the challenge with her and merely enjoy the moment that way, somewhat inspired me," said Healy.

She got to fifty in 35 deliveries - her swiftest at the World Cup - and her ton in 84 as she punished short deliveries, hitting 21 fours and three maximums.

When she was out Australia needed 66 more at one run per ball - an achievable target now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Pursuing 330 is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the belief to accomplish that now," stated Healy further.

"Hopefully we don't have to repeat it but, if we do, we believe we can succeed."

That comment will be the last Australia's opponents at this tournament need to hear.

Over the past five days a belief they will triumph from any situation has grown stronger - this triumph coming after victory over Pakistan by 107 runs despite struggling at 76-7 at one stage.

Next Australia play Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in ten days, by which point a last-four spot may probably be guaranteed.

It was in the semi-finals they left last year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - an encounter Healy couldn't play because of damaged tissue in her foot as she captained her nation for the initial instance at a major tournament.

So strong is her resolve, she subsequently stated she regretted not playing through the pain.

However although she afterwards confessed those physical issues have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this World Cup is expected to be her concluding event as leader in one-day cricket and she is yet to win an international tournament as captain.

Triumph in India would take her to the summit of her final mountain.
