In a unexpected crossover event that breaks traditional forecasts, the game developer has unveiled an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Strange Questline Uncovered

According to the authorized statement, "A mysterious confrontation draws heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh mission, where hints of banned ceremonies and terrifying metamorphoses echo through the shadows." The plot introduces a "strangely dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a secret group.

The mission centers on "peculiar trials and a monstrous enemy" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Settings and Metamorphoses

The preview features the Subterranean Sanctuary from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The preview concludes with a powerful sequence showing a character, presumably the captive, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Bonus Material

Players who finish the mission will acquire an exclusive katana together with multiple artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, offering:

Loyal to its name, "The Mystery" also features a new environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some lingering questions from the main storyline.
